Lifeguarding and Mini China

Black baby wearing whiteface
This weekend was spent saving lives. Well not actually, the victims were acting, but still it was fun to learn how to lifeguard. I was back in Sacramento again for training. We learned how to do CPR and how to save people from the pool. It was interesting doing CPR on the infant dummy.

Our training pool
The really fun part of the training was all of the pool stuff. Although it was pretty windy which made it cold outside the pool, in the pool the water was nice and warm. The people in the class are all really friendly and fun. I am becoming a lifeguard to raise money this summer for studying abroad in China next year.

SF market
Another interesting adventure was going to a Chinese grocery store. My dad and I went to SF market an Chinese/Asian grocery store on Friday. They have so many things I have never heard of before. It was great to see some of the strange food I am sure I will see again in China.

Me with a jackfruit
The store had a huge fish market in the back of the store, most on ice, but they had live creatures also. The most interesting thing in the store though was a giant fruit called a jackfruit.

This week sure was  packed full of fun stuff, and nice home cooked meal,s but it was pretty tiring. I am looking forward to next weekend when spring break starts, I can't wait for Vegas. See you next Sunday.
